Types of Projects Funded Goal: We support projects which enhance the 3 “R’s” (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). General Grants: For solid waste-related projects that deal with recycling, reuse, waste reduction or waste prevention. Small Grants: Although we will consider any proposal that fits our mission, we have currently earmarked $15,000 of total grant funds offered to local schools for starting or enhancing composting projects. Where we fund: Projects must be located within Hood River, Wasco and/or Sherman Counties. Who we fund: Local governments, community groups, non-profit organizations, schools, and chambers of commerce may implement grant-funded projects. Whereas, grant funding for businesses is currently under consideration. | |||
